Michael Hardman received a Ph.D. in Educational Administration from the University of Utah in 1975. In addition to his career at the U, Mike has been a visiting scholar at Cambridge University, an endowed chair at California State University – Los Angeles, a congressional staff member in the U.S. Senate, and consultant to the National Academy of Sciences. He has been PI for numerous national research, demonstration, and personnel preparation projects in education. As you know, he is currently dean of Education and a professor of Special Education. He has also served as chair of the departments of Special Education and Teaching and Learning, and associate dean for research in the College of Education. Dr. Hardman is a past-president of the Higher Education Consortium for Special Education, and a member of the Board of Directors for several international organizations.
